Accessibility statement

Version of 2026-10-02

Draft pending review by the museum's legal advisers. The final text may change.

We want everyone to be able to use this website and visit the museum. The website aims to meet level AA of the WCAG 2.2 guidelines, although it has not yet been reviewed by an external audit. The museum is on a first floor reached by stairs and has no lift at present. If you come across a barrier, please write to [email protected].

1. Our commitment

Mouseo-a8 SL, owner of the Casita-Museo de Ratón Pérez, wants its website casamuseoratonperez.es to be accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

This statement applies to the website casamuseoratonperez.es in Spanish and English.

2. Compliance status

Our aim is to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.

No formal audit has been carried out yet, so we consider the website to be partially compliant.

We are a private company.

3. What we have done

  • We use semantic HTML: headings, lists, forms and buttons with their proper meaning, so that screen readers can interpret them.
  • The whole website can be used with a keyboard.
  • The element with focus is always clearly visible.
  • Images that carry information have alternative text.
  • If your system has the ‘reduce motion’ setting turned on, the website switches off its animations.
  • The website adapts to mobile phones and tablets.
  • All content is available in Spanish and English.

4. Known limitations

  • Some third-party content embedded in the website, such as the OpenStreetMap map on the ‘How to get here’ page and the YouTube videos on the press page, may not be fully accessible. The address and directions to the museum are also given as text on the same page.
  • Some downloadable documents, such as the consent forms in PDF and the press kit in Word format, may not be accessible. If you need any of them in another format, please ask us.

We are working to fix these limitations.

5. Physical access to the museum

  • The museum is on the first floor of the Galería Comercial Arenal 8 (Calle Arenal, 8, Madrid).
  • It is reached by stairs. There is no lift at present.
  • Pushchairs are left wherever the guides indicate.
  • If you or anyone in your group has special needs, please write to [email protected] before your visit and we will see how we can help.

6. How to report a problem

If you find content you cannot use, or would like information in another format, write to [email protected] or call +34 91 522 69 68.

To help us solve it, please tell us:

  • The page or document where the problem is.
  • What you were trying to do and what happened.
  • Whether you use any assistive technology, such as a screen reader, and which one.

We will reply as soon as possible.

7. How we handle complaints

We review every report, reply with a solution or an alternative way to access the information and, if the problem is on the website, add it to our list of fixes.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the consumer affairs services, for example using an official complaint form (hoja de reclamaciones).

8. Date of this statement

This statement was prepared on 2 October 2026 based on an internal assessment and published on 5 November 2026. We will review it after the audit and whenever we make significant changes to the website.
