FAQ

What you ask us most.

If you can't find your answer, email us at [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp.

Do I need to book?

We recommend buying your ticket in advance: capacity is limited and entry is by time slot. On this website you choose the day and time. If you come without a ticket and there are free slots, you can also buy it at the museum.

How long is the visit?

The guided visit to the House-Museum lasts 45 min. Pérez’s Journey, the virtual reality experience, lasts 5 min.

From what age do you pay?

Tickets are paid from age 2. Babies from 0 to 24 months go free and do not take up a place: add them to your order with their free ticket so we know they are coming.

Are there any discounts?

Yes, for people with a disability: they pay half price. Official proof of disability must be shown on arrival. The House-Museum is in a shopping arcade, with stairs and no wheelchair access: if you are coming with a wheelchair or other mobility aid, please contact the museum before your visit.

Is there a lift?

No. The House-Museum is on the first floor of the Arenal 8 shopping arcade and can only be reached by stairs: there is no lift for now. If you have any special needs, message us before your visit and we will help you plan it.

Can I bring a pushchair?

Pushchairs are left wherever the guides indicate during the visit.

Is virtual reality included in the visit?

No. Pérez’s Journey is separate from the museum visit and has its own ticket (€4). You can choose one or enjoy both.

How do I change or cancel my ticket?

Sign in to your account with the email you used to buy: you can change the day or time up to 24 hours before your visit and cancel up to 48 hours before. If you cancel, we refund the card you paid with.

What if I arrive late?

Please be on time: entry is by time slot and if you arrive late you may lose your visit.

Can I bring food or drink?

No, food and drink are not allowed inside.

Where is the House-Museum?

At Calle del Arenal 8, first floor, 28013 Madrid, between Sol and Ópera stations.

Do you run school visits?

Yes, for schools and city camps with children aged 4 to 8, on school days. The visit lasts one and a half to two hours and costs €6 per child.

Can I donate a baby tooth?

Yes. Every year the House-Museum takes part in the baby tooth donation campaign with CENIEH. Bring us your tooth and we will swap it for a gift and a certificate.
